Pancake Tuesday...aka Shrove Tuesday...aka Fat Tuesday

In our ongoing muddled efforts of teaching our kids the bigger story of faith, we celebrated Shrove Tuesday today. The Tuesday before Lent was typically the day where the faithful would rid themselves of eggs, milk etc in preparation for the fasting for Lent. What better way to get rid of milk and eggs than pancakes? Hence the tradition of Pancake Tuesday was born! (For a more theologically explanation, click here)
